Hongkong: Two large-size freighters which had been building under the British administration and were captured intact, have been completed and launched this month by the Japanese authorities from Kowloon Hongkong dockyards. They are expected to be commissioned shortly for transport within the Co-prosperity Sphere. A number of Japanese experts are now directing work in the former British dockyards, which are efficiently building and repairing many types of vessels. A large number sunk during hostilities have now been refloated and repaired. (Domei, 20 December, 1942)
